An old friend of Satoshi who lived in Masara town his whole life. He was a former captain of the Sekiei Academy Pokemon Battle Team, but reluctantly assumed the role of the Student Council President due to his grandfather's wishes. Despite this, he never loses an opportunity to train his pokemon when he has spare time. He consistantly helps out Satoshi throughout the story.
